Things to See & Do in West Limerick
Ringmoylan Pier, Pallaskenry
Situated on the Shannon Estuary, Ringmoylan Pier was built in the 1830’s. Boating, fishing and swimming are just some of the activities happening regularly here. Watch planes take off from Shannon Airport and you may even spot the Shannon dolphins. There’s also a Geocache located here!
Foynes Forest Walk
Just a few minutes drive away is the port town of Foynes. Watch boats entering and leaving the harbour before taking in the beauty of a trail walk in Foynes forest. The Flying Boat Museum located in the town is always a visitor favourite and the Shannon dolphins even visit the harbour sometimes!
Curraghchase Forest Park
A 10 minute drive from Askeaton, Curraghchase Forest Park boasts over 300 hectares of land. Dramatic scenery, long hiking trails and years of history to explore, everyone will find something enjoyable in Curraghchase Forest Park.
