Askeaton residents, business owners and visitors have been asked to join the Think Before You Flush movement. Think Before You Flush aims to educate people on the harm caused by flushing certain items down the toilet.

Wipes, cotton pads, sanitary products and other toiletries have been highlighted as not good to flush on what Irish Water are calling ‘The Dirty Dozen’. When items of this nature are flushed down the toilet, it can create blockages down the line.

Being more conscious of The Dirty Dozen and how we dispose of our waste can benefit our homes, our communities and the environment.
