A new way to stay up to date on all things Askeaton and surrounding areas! What better time to launch a new website for Askeaton and surrounding areas than on National Heritage Week.
Askeaton, located on the banks of the river Deel along the N69 has so much to see, even more to do and is brimming with characters, stories and projects that everyone should know about.
In sharing images of Askeaton and surrounding areas online over the last few months, many people who love the town have messaged to say how much they’ve enjoyed seeing the town online.
Some of these people were local, some had visited us here before and some had moved away long ago and were missing home – whatever the circumstance, it is clear that there’s an appetite to keep up to date with Askeaton news, photos and projects online!
Between the people who come to visit family, heritage tourists and people who use our motorhome service area and campsite, the footfall in Askeaton is large and everyone who visits us here will see Askeaton differently. We want to share these perspectives while also acting as a guide to Askeaton and beyond!
